Welcome to the Mahua Dabur Museum

The echo of the Indian Freedom Struggle is not only confined to the pages of History, but also reverberates in the Heritage which is slipping to oblivion gradually. The Mahua Dabur Museum was established to preserve the sacrifices of Mahua Dabur. It gives us immense pleasure to host researchers from all over the world. The Mahua Dabur Museum undertakes the initiative to shape public understanding of society, culture, and history through the study and discourse of its repository.

The collection of the Museum includes more than 200 International photographs, around 600 archival artifacts, manuscripts, documents, coins, and a small but growing library of books and films. This material is available for use within the museum premises for research, publication, outreach, and educational programming. The Mahua Dabur Museum is in process of building a rich collection of books, media, and artifacts to provide researchers with broader access to knowledge resources."

The Mahua Dabar Museum believes that research should act as a key to effective public communication. We call upon the researchers from around the globe to study the collection. It focuses on the aspects which finds space in the public discourse.

We appeal to you that if you possess any rare material related to the freedom struggle or historical heritage—such as documents, letters, gazetteers, coins, manuscripts, tools, old books, newspapers, photographs, memorabilia, or any other historical item—please consider donating it to this museum. ‘शौर्यनामा’ महाअभियान 2025: महुआ डाबर से क्रांति की मशाल फिर जली, देशभर से जुटे क्रांतिकारी वंशज और युवा

बस्ती, 10 जून 2025 — भारत की आज़ादी के संघर्ष की अनसुनी-भूली कहानियों को फिर से जाग्रत करने के उद्देश्य से मंगलवार को बस्ती जनपद के बहादुरपुर ब्लॉक स्थित ऐतिहासिक गांव महुआ डाबर से ‘शौर्यनामा’ महाअभियान 2025 का भव्य शुभारंभ हुआ। महुआ डाबर क्रांति दिवस पर आज सुबह 8 बजे क्रांति स्थल पर प्रशासन की ओर से शस्त्र सलामी दी गई, जिससे पूरे वातावरण में देशभक्ति की गूंज फैल गई। इसके पश्चात सुबह 10 बजे से निःशुल्क स्वास्थ्य परामर्श शिविर आयोजित किया गया, जिसमें सैकड़ों ग्रामीणों की शुगर, बीपी, मलेरिया, टायफायड और हीमोग्लोबिन की जांच कर मुफ्त दवाएं वितरित की गईं। यह शिविर स्वतंत्रता संग्राम के शहीदों की सेवा-भावना की याद दिलाता प्रतीत हुआ। सुबह 11 बजे से भारतीय स्वतंत्रता संग्राम की दुर्लभ धरोहरों की प्रदर्शनी का उद्घाटन हुआ, जिसमें महुआ डाबर, 1857 की क्रांति और देश के विभिन्न हिस्सों के क्रांतिकारियों से जुड़ी दस्तावेज़ी सामग्रियां, चित्र और सामग्री प्रदर्शित की गईं। यह प्रदर्शनी इतिहास के उस अध्याय को फिर से खोलती है, जिसे समय ने लगभग भुला दिया था। दोपहर 3 बजे शहीद अशफाक उल्ला खां स्मृति द्वार से क्रांतिकारी वंशजों और प्रमुख अतिथियों का स्वागत कर क्रांति स्थल तक यात्रा निकाली गई। यहां शाम 4.30 बजे से ‘संकल्प सभा’ का आयोजन हुआ, जिसे 1857 के विद्वान देव कबीर, शहीद शोध संस्थान के सूर्यकांत पांडेय, गुलजार खां के वंशज डॉ. इरफान खान, मुराद अली, संतराम मौर्य, विनय कुमार आदि ने संबोधित किया। कार्यक्रम का संचालन डॉ. शाह आलम राना ने किया।

शाम 5.30 बजे महुआ डाबर विजय दिवस के प्रतीक स्वरूप मशाल जलाकर गांव को 'गैर-चिरागी' की पीड़ा से रोशन किया गया। लोगों ने एक स्वर में नारा दिया— "महुआ डाबर जलेगा नहीं, जले हुए इतिहास को जगाएगा!"

महुआ डाबर: एक बलिदानी गांव की अमर गाथा:

1857 की क्रांति के दौरान इस छोटे से गांव ने ब्रिटिश सेना के खिलाफ साहसिक विद्रोह किया था, जिसके प्रतिशोध में 3 जुलाई 1857 को इसे पूरी तरह जला दिया गया और 'गैर-चिरागी' (जहां अब कोई चिराग नहीं जलेगा) घोषित कर नक्शे से मिटा दिया गया था। पर 2011 की खुदाई और 2022 में स्वतंत्रता संग्राम सर्किट में शामिल होने के बाद यह गांव फिर से राष्ट्र की स्मृति में लौट आया। ‘शौर्यनामा’ महाअभियान का उद्देश्य है महुआ डाबर की गाथा को राष्ट्रीय चेतना में स्थापित करना और आने वाली पीढ़ियों को यह बताना कि हर बलिदान मायने रखता है, चाहे वह इतिहास की परछाइयों में खो ही क्यों न गया हो।
